It’s perfectly positioned with a balcony looking out over the Fowey Estuary and across to Polruan, reflecting every mood of the weather, utterly beautiful in the sunshine when rays bounce off the water or broods with a threatening storm in winter. It is just minutes from the beach and a brief walk along the Esplanade to the charming port of Fowey.

The only good thing about leaving Marners Rock recently was knowing that we will absolutely book another stay and return. This was a repeat visit and every bit as wonderful as before – the apartment is comfortable and beautifully appointed and the views from the balcony can’t be beaten. Hosts Henry and Alison are always so responsive and a pleasure to liaise with. This place is a special gem!

This was our second stay in Marners Rock number 3. We have looked forward to it for months after staying their last summer, knowing that we would instantly relax and all our needs would be catered for. We can only echo what we said in our last review. It is simply the best apartment we have ever stayed in. Every single thing is of such a high standard, immaculately clean and it is so tastefully furnished. Highlights are the comfy beds, the wonderful bathrooms, the beautiful lounge area and it is great if you are a keen cook as the kitchen is so well equipped. Then there is the view! We were unlucky with the weather so did not sit out on the balcony, but it did not matter as the view is simply stunning. The icing on the cake was that we were lucky enough to witness The Waverley, the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer sail into Fowey, it was a magical sight. Henry and Alison had texted us to let us know beforehand and they were both brilliant with their communication throughout. Needless to say, we shall be booking again and again.

We thoroughly enjoyed a recent 3 night break in this wonderful apartment. Having looked at it online, it exceeded our already high expectations, and its location is perfect. The welcoming G & T and other ‘goodies’ were a lovely touch, and with all the restaurants on hand, all you need to do is relax in the very well-appointed apartment. Of course, if you want to cook, absolutely everything is on hand in the kitchen. Without doubt, the best apartment we have stayed in and we will be returning ! Thank you Marners Rock.

We enjoyed a fabulous mini break for 3 nights. The photos of the view, convenient parking and great location attracted us, and these were a definite bonus. The estuary and sea view view is amazing, and we loved having the loan of the binoculars to enjoy boat watching . The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated. It is also warm, clean and really comfortable. The kitchen is better equipped than any other we have stayed. The attention to detail is apparent from the start, with the hosts Henry and Alison being really responsive from the moment we booked. We felt really welcome, and especially enjoyed the drinks and fresh bread to greet us after our journey. We would love to come and stay again.
